NTCC welcomes Rene McCracken as Director of Agriculture
Northeast Texas Community College has a new face on campus this month as Rene McCracken began her role as the new Director of Agriculture.
McCracken has worked in agriculture for more than 20 years in various capacities. Most recently, she served as an Extension Agent in Cherokee County for Prairie View A&M University. In this role, she focused heavily on small farm education.
"I'm a born and raised country girl, so I've really been working in ag my whole life.

Jessica Keith named new head softball coach
† † †The Eagles Athletic Department at Northeast Texas Community College recently announced that Jessica Keith has been hired as the new head softball coach.
† † †Keith is no stranger to NTCC, as she played third base for the Eagles in 1998 and 1999. She has been the head coach at Ranger College for the past nine years and served as an assistant for two years prior.

Fast track police academy begins August 20
† † †Did you know that you can become a police officer in just 17.5 weeks?†If you are over 21 years of age, have a clear criminal history, posses†good physical stamina and can devote all of your time to learning, then†the police academy may be the right program for you.
† † †The Northeast Police Academy at Northeast Texas Community College will†offer a "fast track" academy beginning August 20, 2012. This day†academy includes physical fitness training and meets from 6:30 a.m. to†5:00 p.m.

NTCC 101 night scheduled for June 28
† † † Northeast Texas Community College will host an NTCC 101 college readiness †night on Thursday, June 28 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Representatives from advising, financial aid, admissions, the business office, testing and other areas will be available to assist students.
† † † The event is free and open to the public. Both current and prospective students are encouraged to attend.
