NTCC to host job fair

† † †Northeast Texas Community College will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB) on the main NTCC campus. The event is free to the public.†More than a dozen local and regional employers will be in attendance.

NTCC Baseball wins 3 of 4 at opening tourney

The NTCC Eagles baseball team went 3-1 to open the Fall 2012 season this weekend as they played host to a tournament at Bob Baker Field.

The Eagles split Friday?s two games as NTCC downed Bossier Parish 7-0 in the day?s early game before dropping the nightcap to Weatherford, 1-0.

NTCC bounced back with a pair of wins Saturday as the Eagles beat Weatherford 12-3 before earning a 12-9 victory over Grayson College.

Northeast Texas Poetry Contest winners announced

Former Eagles named top baseball prospects

Two former Northeast Texas Community College Eagle baseball players earned high praise this summer as Shane Segovia (Missouri) and Mark Robinette (Oklahoma State) were named to Perfectgame.org?s Top Summer League Baseball Prospect List.
Segovia and Robinette both played with the St. Joseph Mustangs this summer, the winner of the MINK (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas) college summer baseball league.
Segovia was named the League?s No. 2 prospect after hitting .331 with 21 RBI and 13 walks while Robinette was named the league?s No.

Reception held for Evetts art exhibit

The work of local artist, Toni Evetts, is currently being featured at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. Her exhibit, entitled "Experimental Techniques" is on display in the Whatley Foyer until September 14. A meet-the-artist reception was held on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
