Pat Wommack contributes to Campaign for the Whatley

Pat Wommack of Lone Star recently gave $1,000 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College†Campaign for the Whatley. This gift was made in honor of Mrs. Wommack's daughter-in-law, Kim Wommack, who is a Professor of Art and Division Director for Creative and Performing Arts at NTCC. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to help update the aging performing arts facility. Free GED/ESL courses offered by NTCC

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area. Students interested in attending classes must enroll in a 12-hour orientation. The information regarding dates/locations of classes is included below:

Al and Sue Havenstrite chair Campaign for the Whatley

Al and Sue Havenstrite recently agreed to serve as chair of the Northeast Texas Community College†Campaign for the Whatley. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to enhance the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Guaranty Bond Bank recently gave $3,000 to Northeast Texas Community College to underwrite the Tuesday, Dec. 13 Cherish the Ladies Christmas concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Cherish the Ladies to perform at Whatley Center

The holiday spirit is headed to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. The traditional Irish music group Cherish the Ladies will perform a Christmas show on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.

With their unique spectacular blend of virtuosi instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, Cherish the Ladies combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture and puts it forth in an immensely humorous and entertaining package.†The event is sponsored by Guaranty Bond Bank.

Eleven complete CNA program

Northeast Texas Community College recently held a ceremony to recognize 11 students who successfully completed the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program.
