Foundation hosts annual Scholarship Brunch

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation hosted its annual Scholarship Brunch on Friday, Nov. 1st in the Student Union Building. More than 200 donors, scholarship recipients and guests attended. The event is held to honor scholarship recipients and give them a chance to connect with the generous donors who make their awards possible. Click here to view/download event photos!

NTCC wins national Bellwether Award

Northeast Texas Community College is excited to announce that it has won a 2024 national Bellwether Award for its innovative Work4College program. NTCC received the Best In Showcase Award at the 2024 Community College Futures Assembly in San Antonio this week in the category of Planning, Governance and Finance.  The Bellwether competition is the most prestigious competition for community colleges and recognizes cutting-edge, trendsetting programs worthy of replication among the more than 1,000 community colleges across the nation.

Foundation receives $1,000 for two new scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $1,000 scholarship donation from Mr. Vernon Donaldson on behalf of the Sam Donaldson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The gift will provide two $500 scholarships that will be awarded for the Fall 2024 semester. One will be the Phyllis Autry Scholarship for nursing majors and the other will be the Sam Donaldson Memorial Scholarship for industrial technology majors. Work4College receives $12,000 gift

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $12,000 grant from an anonymous foundation to sponsor six students in the Work4College Program. An additional matching grant opportunity has effectively doubled the impact, resulting in a $24,000 contribution. This grant will be utilized to expand the reach of the Work4College Program. Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 to NTCC automotive program

The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to support scholarships for students enrolled in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at Northeast Texas Community College. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (left), NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement, is pictured receiving the gift from Aaron Shelby, grandson of Carroll Shelby and Co-President of The Carroll Shelby Foundation. Carroll Shelby began supporting the NTCC automotive program in 2007. Since his death, the Carroll Shelby Foundation has carried on his legacy through annual contributions.

NTCC receives $60,000 grant from Pioneer Foundation

Fred Markham, Executive Director of the Texas Pioneer Foundation, recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with $60,000 to support the NTCC Work Scholarship Program. The gift came in two separate checks, one for $50,000 to be used as a matching gift for scholarships, and the other for $10,000 to be used as program support. Markham (left) is pictured with Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement.†This summer marked the fifth year of the program, which allowed†63 students to work on campus to†earn their education.
