Bradley Syd Norwood automotive scholarship established at NTCC

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $10,000 donation from the Gloria Norwood estate. The funds established the Bradley Syd Norwood Memorial Scholarship, which will provide scholarships to students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program. Gloria, who was a resident of Naples, planned the gift in her will. Her late son, Bradley, attended the NTCC Automotive Program in the early 1990s. Six local graduates inducted into National Adult Education Honor Society

Jose Castro awarded J. Travis Jackson GED Scholarship

Jose A. Gil Castro of Mount Pleasant was recently†presented with the J. Travis Jackson†GED†Scholarship during the†2018 GED graduation ceremony hosted by the Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education Department.†This $500 award is given by the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club in memory of Jackson, who was a long time adult educator in Titus County. Eagles end season in championship heartbreaker against San Jacinto

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team just missed out a trip to the JUCO World Series Wednesday after a heartbreaking 8-7 loss against San Jacinto College in the Region 14 championship game.

After going scoreless in the first inning, both teams? strong offenses got fired up in the second. San Jac scored two and NTCC answered with a three-run homer by Matt Scheurich to take the lead. San Jac managed to tie things up in the third and take a brief lead in the top of the fourth as they added one more.

San Jac forces second game in Region 14 tourney final against NTCC Eagles

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team picked up its first loss of the Region 14 tournament Tuesday night after falling 9-3 to San Jacinto College. The Eagles will play San Jacinto again at 1 p.m. Wednesday to determine which team is headed to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Both teams got on the board early, with two runs apiece in the first inning. NTCC's runs came from back-to-back homers by Taylor Barber and Kyle Moos.

NTCC Eagles Baseball wins first two in Region 14 tournament

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team is one step closer to the NJCAA World Series as they beat Galveston College 9-5 Sunday in the Region 14 Tournament. The win came on the heels of an 8-6 win against Blinn College on Saturday.

NTCC got things moving in the first inning against Galveston, when†Manny Garcia†homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Jordan Martinez†pitched†the Eagles†to victory.
