Monse Rivero-Sanchez serves as keynote speaker at Fall Leadership Conference in Minnesota

NTCC student Monse Rivero-Sanchez currently serves as the International Vice-President for Division II of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. In that capacity, she has the opportunity to travel and speak before groups in a wide variety of locations. She was recently the keynote speaker at the Fall Minn-Kota Regional Conference held October 11-12 on the campus of St Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Minn-Kota Region of Phi Theta Kappa consists of 30 chapters in the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Guaranty Bank & Trust wins 2024 NTCC Foundation Golf Classic

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation held its annual Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 21st at Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg. The tournament raised over $20,000 to support the NTCC Work4College Program.

The Guaranty Bank and Trust team won the six-man-scramble, shooting 19 under.  The winning team (pictured from left) included Tyler Verner, Trent Abbott, Jey Yancey, Patrick Redfearn, and Jace Baker. In the closest to the hole contest, Grady Townsend won first place and Robby Dunn won second place.

Isabel Tresidder conducts biological research through independent study course

Isabel Tresidder (pictured) is a home-schooled student from Naples, Texas, who graduated in 2024, and is in her first semester at NTCC. She is majoring in biology and plans to pursue a career in medicine, specializing in surgery. She has a deep interest in biological research and is taking an independent study course this semester under the tutelage of Dr. Chris McAllister.  She is working on parasites of California rodents and hopes to continue her studies at NTCC with Dr. Mac.  Most importantly, she will likely get a publication from her work.

Three students complete Professional Driving Academy

The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Three new students recently graduated from the program. New Environmental Science course to be offered next spring

Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that there is a new course available in the Natural Sciences. Environmental Science I (ENVR 1401) is a survey of the forces, including humans, that shape our physical and biologic environment, and how they affect life on Earth. Introduction to the science and policy of global and regional environmental issues, including pollution, climate change, and sustainability of land, water, and energy resources.  Lab activities will cover methods used to collect and analyze environmental data.

Last chance to sign up for fall 2nd 8-weeks

There is still time to register for the fall 2nd 8-week term at NTCC! Classes start Monday, Oct. 21st. Most current students should be able to register online in the myeagle portal. New students and those who cannot register online should e-mail advising@ntcc.edu or stop by the Student Services Building.

This is a great opportunity to pick up an extra class and be one step closer to graduation! Classes are available both in-person and online.
