Perla Guzman of Mount Pleasant has become the 2023-24 Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB) Scholar of NTCC. The $3,000 scholarship provided by the bank goes this year to the top-rated incoming Presidential Scholar of the NTCC Honors Program. Guzman will inherit this prestigious designation from other previous vanguard students of NTCC.

NTCC celebrated the retirement of two beloved faculty members on Thursday, Aug. 24th. Dr. Paula Wilhite (pictured right with her husband), Professor of Mathematics, and Mr. Jim Swann (pictured left with his wife), Professor of Spanish, will be greatly missed. Wilhite has taught at NTCC since the college opened in 1985. Swann came shortly after her in 1988.
