Northeast Texas Community College, in partnership with the Raw Milk Institute, will host a one-day intensive seminar on September 23rd that will cover a variety of topics relevant to the production of low-risk raw milk. Anyone interested in learning more about raw milk can benefit from this hands-on training! The effort of the NTCC Webb Society and Honors Northeast to complete their twelfth feature-length film this summer involved a few novelties. To be sure, as with previous years, the group began from the ground up, fashioning a script from the research of primary sources, and focusing on a niche story from the Texas past.

The NTCC Art Department hosted an artist reception with Frank Herbert on Wednesday in the Whatley Center foyer. Herbert's art will remain on display in the Whatley gallery through Thursday, September 21st. The exhibit is free to view during regular college business hours.

For the sixteenth-straight year in a row, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end laptop for the use of Northeast Texas Community College honors students.  This year’s Cypress Bank Scholar is Amy Vazquez, a top-tier member of Honors Northeast.

The Northeast Texas Community College Soccer teams hosted Angelina College in their season and conference opener. The Women’s team fell 17-0 and the Men lost 2-0 on Friday. The NTCC Women's soccer team began their conference campaign with a lopsided 17-0 loss on Friday day to nationally ranked Angelina College.

The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education department is pleased to offer a series of American Sign Language (ASL) classes beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5th. The classes will be held at Jo's coffee shop in downtown Mount Pleasant and they will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
