Charlie and Helen Hampton recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming performance of The Broadway Tenors at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. NTCC Men's Soccer beats Coastal Bend, advances in playoffs

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Men's Eagles soccer team kicked off the playoff†season with a†victory against the Coastal Bend College Cougars Tuesday. The Eagles defeated the Cougars 2-1, achieving the first-ever playoff win for the NTCC soccer program, which began in 2010.

Omar Aguilar started things off for the Eagles with an unassisted goal in the first five minutes. Roman Rodriguez scored again at the 30-minute mark, assisted by Rimario Gordon.

Men's soccer heads to playoffs

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) †Eagles men's and women?s soccer teams wrapped up their regular seasons this week with one loss and one win against Coffeyville Community College on Wednesday. †The men?s team begins their postseason championship tournament next week.

The Lady Eagles (7-10-0) fought hard against the Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens (12-4-1) in their final game of the season.

Eagle Disc Golf club to host tournament

Eagle Disc Golf, one of the newest student clubs on the NTCC campus, has hit the ground running.† After an initial fundraiser selling custom designed Eagle Disc Golf discs, the club is pleased to announce its first ever NTCC Disc Golf Classic tournament, scheduled for Friday, November 1st, at 12:00pm.† It is open to the public; however, the student division is the only one available to win prizes.† There

NTCC celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Northeast Texas Community College celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month this week as they held a Pink Rain Walk-A-Dollar-Thon that raised $455.40 to benefit Sally's Hope. More than 100 students and employees gathered on the plaza at lunchtime decked out in pink to make a half-mile walk around campus (pictured) in support of and in memory of breast cancer victims. After the walk, participants made donations and enjoyed "pink rain" refreshments. Rico Willis, Director of Student Activities and Multicultural Awareness, welcomed everyone and read an inspirational poem.

NTCC Soccer season update

The Northeast Texas Community College Men?s and Women?s Soccer teams are boasting record-breaking seasons this year under the direction of the new coaching staff. With the regular season approaching its end, the men?s team currently stands at 12 wins and six losses, earning them one of the top three spots in the region. This makes them eligible for the playoffs, with the potential to break into the top 20 nationally.

The women?s team currently stands at six wins and 10 losses.
