The SIFE/Enactus Club of Northeast Texas Community College will host the Fourth Annual Reindeer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. The run will be held on the NTCC campus and there is no entry fee for participants.
"In the spirit of giving and to honor your continued support of our college and students, we are not charging a registration fee to run or walk this year. We have been fortunate to have some wonderful sponsors that will be announced and honored on the morning of the run," Heidi Wooten, SIFE/Enactus Co-Sponsor, said.
Instead, donations will be accepted on the morning of the run and t-shirts will be on sale for $15. All proceeds will directly benefit those so drastically impacted by the typhoon that recently devastated the Philippines.
"We all know the level of impact this natural disaster has had on so many families living in the Philippines, so let's show them 'Texas Style' just how much support we can send their way," Joy Cooper, SIFE/ENACTUS Co-Sponsor, said.
Registration will be held at the NTCC Student Union Building, or early birds can mail in their registration form to guarantee a t-shirt.††Even though there is no required runner fee, a registration form should be submitted in order to estimate numbers for the traditional pancake breakfast, as well as for the awarding of the medals.††Participants should make plans to stay for the Breakfast, Door Prizes, and awards after the run.
