Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo is pleased to announce our first annual Rodeo alumni dinner and team fundraiser April 9, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Arena Becky & Buddy McCollum Events Center & Pavilion.
The event will feature Cole Scoggins for live music and dancing, silent auction, live auction, meet and greet with the current team, and catered barbecue dinner. Tickets for the Event will be available to purchase starting March 1, 2022. Tickets are $50 each and include your meal and entertainment.

In case of bad weather, NTCC’s decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes. If the campus is closed or classes cancelled, the official notice will be sent out via the campus Eagle Alert system* (see below) and a message will be posted on the NTCC homepage (www.ntcc.edu). The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25. In addition to action items, Dr. Ron Clinton, President, gave a report on the Community College Finance Commission.
The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department is pleased to announce that one of its graduates, Diedra Long Camp, will present the February art exhibit in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
Northeast Texas Community College Softball will kickoff the home games for the Spring 2022 season on Wednesday, February 2 against Cisco Junior College at 12:00pm in a double header. Head Coach Joshua Freeman returns for his sophomore season as Head Coach of the Eagle Softball program and will look to make waves in Conference play to earn a spot in the post season.
For their performance in challenging honors courses at NTCC in relation to their peers, two students of Honors Northeastwill win $100 checks. NTCC’s Dr. Jerry Wesson Scholar, Aaliyah Avellaneda, received the highest GPA in the double-course fall Honors seminar known as “HuMusic,” taught by Drs. Daniel, and Fulgham. Maiko Estrada won his award as the honors freshman, ranking number one in the “BioTex” Honors Seminar this past spring, a combination of Biology and Texas History, taught by professors Ward and Yox.
Northeast Texas Community College Women’s Soccer athlete and student Athletic Trainer Zoe Craven has been named this week’s Longview Orthopaedic Clinic Athlete of the Week.
