Sandra Crane Issing estate gives $150,000 for NTCC endowed scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $150,000 gift from the estate of Sandra Crane Issing. Randy Crane (center) is pictured presenting the check to Nita May (left), NTCC Director of Development, and Dr. Jon McCullough, NTCC Executive VP for Advancement. Half of the generous posthumous gift was used to establish the new Donald C. and Sandra Crane Issing Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the other half was added to the existing Horace and Jonice Crane Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Foundation releases 2023 Community Report

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently celebrated an amazing year of fundraising by releasing a special 2023 Community Report. The 20-page magazine features information on the Work4College Program, alumni features, giving reports and much more! The publication also names the Greater Texas Foundation as the 2023 Distinguished Benefactor for their support of Work4College and the Texas Emergency Aid grant.

NTCC partners with TRMC for specialized RN training

Five Registered Nurses (RNs) from Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) (pictured above) completed the 8-week NTCC Continuing Education (CE) Course RNSG1075- Clinical Preceptor Training Program.  These five RNs worked hard to successfully complete this Evidence-Based Program focusing on how to master precepting when working with NTCC nursing students who are completing their clinical time at TRMC using the Preceptor Model.  Each RN was recognized today at TRMC with a CE Certificate of Course Completion presented by Dr.

Luke Mitchell McCraw wins sixth Dr. Charles B. Florio Leadership Award

For NTCC Honors Students, there are three major ways in which leadership not only benefits the recipient, but the whole honors experience.  Students can lead in classroom erudition, scholarship, and in collective activities that provide services for the community and/or accolades for the larger group. Now in his second semester as an honors scholar, Luke McCrawhas won the 2023 Dr. Charles B. Florio Award, for his leadership in all three venues.
