Northeast Texas Community College will be closed from Monday, Dec. 19th through Friday, Dec. 30th. Offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, Jan. 2nd.
The Spring 2023 semester begins January 17th. Students may still apply and register online via OneLogin while the college is closed. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday break!
Northeast Texas Community College celebrated December 2022 commencement on Friday, Dec. 9th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A total of 100 graduates were awarded 60 certificates of competency, 11 Associate of Arts, six Associate of Arts in Teaching, 42 Associate of Science, and 17 Associate of Applied Science. Jalisha Broadnax gave the student welcome and Jaime Olvera delivered the student response.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation is pleased to announce that seven NTCC employees have been awarded funds through the 2022 Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant. The Foundation received 13 outstanding applications. A total of $12,260 was awarded through the grant.

NTCC held its annual Employee Christmas Party and Service Awards/Retirement Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 8th. In addition to wishing Elayne Peters, Director of the Testing Center, well in her retirement, the college also honored those who reached service milestones.

Northeast Texas Community College students and co-founders of the TAFE Chapter, Monserrat Rivero and Ruby Ferretiz, were surprised by Professor Jim Ward with a shopping spree to collect supplies for their TAFE community service project. The students were given 30 minutes to shop for $250 worth of donations for the Rainbow Room at the local Department of Family and Protective Service Office to support their project they had presented to faculty at the most recent faculty meeting.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $12,000 donation from the United States Tennis Association. Dr. Ron Clinton (left), NTCC President, Jimmy Smith, Coordinator of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the check. The gift will be used to upgrade NTCC’s tennis courts and provide scholarships for local youth to participate in the 2023 Kids Discovery College.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $42,039.06 donation from the estate of Earl Christian Williamson. Nita May (left), Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the check. Williamson was a computer science faculty member at NTCC from 1988 to 1998.
