Rodeo to host alumni dinner & fundraiser

The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will host the 3rd Annual Alumni Dinner and Fundraiser on Saturday March 2nd at The Pavilion at the Becky and Buddy McCollum Events Center on the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Grounds.

The evening will start at 5:30pm with a Social Hour. Texas Road House will be catering the event with the meal to start at 6:30pm and then a live auction and Calcutta Auction to follow the meal. Entertainment will be live music by Monty Tipps and the dance floor will be open.

Responsibilities include teaching hybrid Digital Photography and hybrid Digital Media in Fall and Spring, possibly teaching ARTS1301 hybrid during Fall and Spring, working with Instructional Technology to maintain hybrid courses, and maintaining communication with students.

Housing residents celebrate Super Bowl, Valentine's Day

It's been a busy week for students who live in NTCC's residential housing! It kicked off with a Super Bowl LVIII party on Sunday. Residents from both East and West housing gathered in the West common space to enjoy pizza and wings and cheer on their favorite teams. 

On Wednesday, residents spread some love as they delivered Valentine's cards to residents of Mount Pleasant Assisted Living. They enjoyed spending the day with residents and getting to know them.

Experience and Other Qualifications Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Welding or equivalent that includes industry certifications in Welding required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years secondary teaching experience preferred

Jimmy Smith Jr. gospel concert planned for Feb. 18th

Northeast Texas Community College’s very own Jimmy Smith Jr. will kick off the Sounds of Northeast series with a concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Feb. 18th at 2:30 p.m. Smith’s concert will feature covers of many contemporary gospel favorites, as well as his newly-released single Unhchanging Hand. Guest collaborators will include Kristian Luker, Marketta Timmons-Richardson, Courtnee Williams, and Payge Cowans.

PTK to honor Clinton with Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) will recognize Dr. Ron Clinton, President, Northeast Texas Community College (TX), with the Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction during PTK Catalyst 2024, the Society’s annual convention in Orlando, Fl, April 4-6, 2024.  The Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction is Phi Theta Kappa’s most prestigious award for community college presidents and is named in honor of the late Dr. Shirley B.
