NTCC open Saturday, Jan. 12 for registration
Northeast Texas Community College will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 12 to assist students with registration for the Spring 2013 semester.
Housing Move-In Dates
NTCC Housing will open up for resident move-in on January 10th & 11th from 8am-5pm and January 12th from 8am-11am. Limited space is still available in housing for the spring semester. Please call 903-434-8176 for information or visit www.ntcc.edu/housing for details.
Fall 2012 Academic Honors
Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to recognize students who excelled academically in Fall 2012. To be named to the Academic Honors list, a student must have taken 12 or more hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. To be named to the Special Academic Merit List, a student must have taken between seven and 11 hours and earned a 4.0 grade point average.
NTCC offices closed for holidays

Northeast Texas Community College will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 19 to Tuesday, Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Years holidays. Administrative offices will resume regular business hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Online applications and registration for spring 2013 classes will continue online during the closure at www.ntcc.edu.
Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for NTCC scholarships
The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the NTCC Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. Cypress Bank supports The Campaign for the Whatley
Cypress Bank recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with a check for $2,500. This gift, part of a total pledge of $5,000, was given in support of The Campaign for the Whatley - a community effort to revitalize the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at NTCC. TRMC Auxiliary gives allied health scholarships
The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at Northeast Texas Community College majoring in an allied health field. NTCC holds winter 2012 commencement
Northeast Texas Community College held its winter 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. During the ceremony 103 students were awarded associate degrees and 77 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Russo, NTCC adjunct faculty member in history, gave the commencement address. Chelsea Cates, of Pittsburg, delivered the student response. A special presentation was made to LaSonya Feltus, who received a†posthumous†degree on behalf of her late husband, Edd Feltus.
2012-2013 Whatley Enhancement winners announced
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation announced the winners of the 2012-2013 Whatley Employment Enhancement Awards this week. Seven out of the 20 proposals were chosen for funding.
