Honors Northeast premieres original historical film on the life of Mary Kay
Honors Northeast and the local Webb Society will hold a premiere of the new original historical film Smoldering Wick: the Story of Mary Kay on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College.

NTCC bad weather procedure
In case of bad weather, NTCC?s decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes.
NTCC closed Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Northeast Texas Community College will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. We will resume regular business hours and spring classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 16. In case of an emergency on campus while we are closed, please contact security at 903-563-1417.
Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund winners announced
Twelve Northeast Texas Community College employees received a total of $15,473.86 in Whatley Employee Enhancement Grants for 2018. The Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund was established by James & Elizabeth Whatley specifically for NTCC employees to fund special projects and enhance educational opportunities that might fall outside the regular budget.
Welcome Back Social planned
The first week of classes can be a stressful time. To help alleviate this stress, and to encourage students to meet new people, we have planned a Welcome Back Social for students, faculty and staff.
Filing for NTCC board places begins January 17
Filing for Place Three, Place Four and Place Seven on the Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees will begin on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, and continues through 5 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018. Filing applications are available from elections clerk Maria Razo in the NTCC Executive Offices from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays.† The deadline for filing an application will be extended to 5:00 p.m.
A Cappella Choir of Wiley College to perform at the Whatley Center
The Whatley Center for Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will host a concert by the A Cappella Choir of Wiley College Sunday, January 21 at 2:30 p.m.

Joe and Sue Sandlin give $2,000 to NTCC Work Scholarship Program
Joe and Sue Sandlin recently gave $2,000 to sponsor a student in†the Work Scholarship Program at Northeast Texas Community College.
