NTCC participating in East Texas Giving Day

East Texas Giving Day (ETGD) is up and running and this is our 6th year to participate in this regional online giving/fundraising event. Why is this so important to NTCC and why would YOU want to thoughtfully consider giving?  Your gift to NTCC will be matched 2 to 1.  That’s right, NTCC will receive an extra $2 from matching grants for every $1 you give, so WE ALL have the power to make a really big difference.  Here are some details:

Work4College applications due April 15

Students interested in participating in the 2020 NTCC Work4College Program should plan to turn in their completed applications no later than April 15. It is available online at www.work4college.com

The Work4College Program is a unique experience that allows participants (from high school juniors to adults) to work in meaningful jobs on campus throughout the summer. In addition to getting paid, students also EARN their college in advance by accruing scholarship money in their account.

Jacob Lambie campaigning for PTK international officer position

Temple Masonic Lodge #70 endows NTCC scholarship

The Temple Masonic Lodge #70 in Mount Pleasant recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with a check for $25,000. The funds will be used to establish an endowed fund that will continue to provide scholarships for NTCC students into the future. Half of the scholarships are designated for students in workforce training or the NTCC Work4College program and the other half are for general academic scholarships. Preference will be given to students with a father or grandfather who is/was a Mason at Temple Lodge #70.

NTCC response to COVID-19

On Wednesday, Northeast Texas Community College announced it will extend spring break by one week for students due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. While college operations will resume in a limited capacity on Monday, March 23, the campus will remain closed to the public. Plans are in the works to move most courses online for the remainder of the semester.
