Northeast Texas Community College took on Carl Albert College on Tuesday in a non-conference game on a very windy afternoon. The Vikings from Carl Albert would defeat NTCC in a back and forth game by a score of 6-4.
Northeast Texas Community College Softball traveled to Wilburton, Oklahoma to take on Eastern Oklahoma State College in a two-game series. NTCC would take game one 8-2 and game two 14-9. The series sweep brings the NTCC win streak to five straight games as they head into conference play next week.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Softball team will host a free softball camp on April 3. The event, which is open to kids of all ages, will be held at the NTCC softball field at 5:30 p.m. after their home game against Paris Junior College.
Hilda Rodriguez was recently named the winner of the 2021 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who after their first semester, most exceeded expectations. The award comes with a $200 check.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana is offering two special promotions for NTCC students who plan to transfer to their institution. Their Gold Ticket waives the application fee for those applying for Summer/Fall 2021 during the month of March. It's a great time to get your application in and save some money.
During this time of global pandemic, nurses are at the forefront caring for patients. NTCC Nursing students have been able to help by participating in COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
Both LVN and RN students have participated both at Titus Regional Medical Center and Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. On Feb 27, 28 students help deliver 3,500 vaccines given that day at GSMC Vaccine Clinic.
The National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) membership celebrate the Athletic Training profession each March to spread awareness of the important work Athletic Trainers (AT’s) do. This year’s slogan is “Essential to Health Care”. This past year showed this more and more as athletic trainers worked to develop COVID-19 protocols to help combat the Coronavirus Pandemic. Athletic Trainers not only assisted their teams, schools, and companies in developing and implementing risk mitigation protocols but safe return to work and play protocols.
