The mission of the Northeast Texas Community College Medical Laboratory Technology Program is to graduate competent and ethical medical laboratory technicians who possess the knowledge and skills to successfully gain employment and provide quality service, as well as to provide an understanding of the need for lifelong learning, in order to serve the needs of the community.
The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Technology Program will be to provide each student with entry-level competencies necessary to function in the clinical laboratory setting through a balanced curriculum of didactic courses and clinical experiences. Furthermore, the program will promote the development of ethical and professional practices necessary for maintaining professional growth and development.
