Northeast Texas Community College and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) have entered into an articulation agreement to provide students who have identified Clinical Laboratory Science as a career choice to receive early acceptance into the CLS program at UTMB. This program allows students who have successfully completed the NTCC MLT program to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
The student must complete an Associate's of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology from NTCC and complete a pre-entry interview conducted by the faculty of the UTMB CLS program. The interview will be scheduled at either NTCC or UTMB during the first semester of the student's sophomore year.
This UTMB program allows students to work on their Bachelor's degree while working. This program is primarily a distance learning program operated from either UT Tyler or El Centro in Dallas. Most courses are online, with labs scheduled on weekends if required. CLICK HERE to see a list of required prerequisite courses, degree plan and contact information.
