After completing any course sequence in biology, the student will be able to:
1. Use critical thinking skills when evaluating, accurately interpreting and effectively communicating the common laws, theories and principles in the study of biology.
2. Understand and be able to provide examples of the source and role of energy in sustaining life, the way in which living systems maintain homeostasis in a changing environment and the role of genetic processes and evolutionary theory as the major unifying theme of all biological science.
