Northeast Texas Community College has contracted with Motorcycle Training Center, based out of Farmers Branch, Texas, to provide all motorcycle training. Motorsports Training Center will provide a 2-wheeled, 5-speed motorcycle, DOT approved loaner helmet, and all class materials. During riding instruction, all participants must wear the minimum protective gear as follows:
- Motorcycle Helmet meeting Federal Department of Transportation standards;
- Eye protection;
- Over the ankle footwear (not cloth, canvas, etc.);
- Long sleeved shirt or jacket;
- Long, non-flared denim pants or equivalent;
- Full fingered gloves, preferably leather;
- Students under 18 years old MUST have waivers signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to participating in the Basic Rider Course.
