The Basic Rider Course
- The course is classroom and on-cycle instruction. Basic techniques as well as defensive maneuvers will be taught. We provide the motorcycle during the course.
- It is designed for the beginner who wants to learn to ride a motorcycle or for the experienced rider who wants to sharpen their riding skills.
- Minimum age for the course is 15 and all students under 18 require parental consent and a Class C unrestricted license or the classroom portion of Drivers Ed completed.
- Students must attend all class sessions and pass both written and riding skills tests in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
- The certificate, when presented to the DPS license office, normally allows any person with a Class C unrestricted license to waive the on-cycle road test.
- This course is designed to teach basic techniques. We cannot gaurantee the safe operation of your motorcycle.
