The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the NTCC Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at the Mount Pleasant Country Club. This was the 25^th†consecutive year of the tournament. Gold sponsors for the event were AEP-Swepco, American National Bank, Capps Insurance, Guaranty Bond Bank, Luminant, Northeast Texas Credit Union and Scrubbies Wash USA. Silver sponsors were EDH Electric, Texas Heritage National Bank, Big Tex, Elliott Motors and Redfearn Real Estate.

Northeast Texas Community College recently received a $30,000 planned gift from Jon and Patti Cohen. This donation established an endowed memorial scholarship that will provide three $500 scholarships per year to benefit cosmetology students at NTCC. The scholarship is given in memory of Johnnie Cohen, who was a long-time cosmetology instructor at NTCC. The Tennison Memorial United Methodist Women recently gave a $500 scholarship to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. The group contributes a scholarship annually to help a deserving NTCC student offset college expenses.
