NTCC receives $25,000 from Ed Rachal Foundation

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from the Ed Rachal Foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. The grant will be utilized to expand the reach of the Work4College Program. Marty Stuart kicks off Whatley Center season on Oct. 5th

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will kick off its 2023-2024 performance season with a special event concert by country music legend Marty Stuart on Thursday, Oct. 5th at 7:30 p.m.

Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives band will take the stage to perform your favorite classics as well as music from his latest album that was released earlier this year.

Shelby program to host dyno day and open house Oct. 14th

The Carroll Shelby Automotive Program at Northeast Texas Community College will host their annual Dyno Day and Open House on Saturday, Oct. 14th. The event will be held at the Shelby Automotive building on the NTCC campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants who would like to test the performance of their vehicle can get a 15-minute dyno pull for $35. The facilities will also be open for touring, including the new EV building that was recently completed. There will also be memorbilia sales and food. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Shelby Automotive Student Club.

Elliott Auto Group in Mount Pleasant recently donated a customized Ford F-150 truck to the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at Northeast Texas Community College.
