The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation will host its annual Distinguished Lecture Series event on†Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.†at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.†This year's lecture will be presented by New York Times bestselling author Laura Schroff.†

MPEDC receives NTCC Foundation's Distinguished Benefactor Award
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently named the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPEDC) winner of its Distinguished Benefactor award for their support of the Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC).

Daingerfield Country Club wins Foundation golf tourney
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at Daingerfield Country Club in Daingerfield. This was the 27th†consecutive year of the tournament. This year?s winning team (pictured) was†Daingerfield Country Club with a score of 19 under.
Beverly Kelley gives work scholarship
Beverly Kelley recently gave $1,000 to sponsor a student in the Northeast Texas Community College Work Scholarship Program. Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. This year?s gift will benefit a student studying nursing at NTCC. Tonya Taylor gives nursing scholarships
Tonya Taylor,†Assistant Professor of Nursing at†Northeast Texas Community College, recently gave $1,200 to the NTCC Foundation to provide two scholarships for nursing students. The gift was given in memory of Margie Bragg, an NTCC Nursing graduate from Mount Pleasant who worked in the field for many years. Taylor noted that she hopes the scholarships will help carry on the caring spirit Bragg gave every day. Taylor is pictured above (left) with Nita May, NTCC Director of Development.
