Boston travel study trip planned
† † † Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is planning a travel-study course to Boston. The trip will take place next year from May 25-29. This opportunity is available to students who wish to receive college credit, as well as community members who would just like to participate in a fun, cultural experience.
† † † An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 12:15 p.m. in Room 107 in the Humanities building.
NTCC holds campus wide food drive
The Office of Student Activities,†Student Government Association†and Students In Free Enterprise†is sponsoring a campus wide food drive November†5-December 13, 2012.
NTCC to host Veteran's Day event
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12 on the plaza of the main campus. This will include a public event from 11 a.m. to noon. Veterans and their families are invited to stay after from noon to one for a special appreciation luncheon. Culinary arts to host buffet nights
The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program will host three special Buffet Nights during the month of November. These will be held †at the NTCC Culinary Institute in historic downtown Pittsburg and are open to the public.
Dinners will be held†from 6-8 p.m.†on November 8, 15 and 29. Seating is restaurant-style and to-go orders will be available as quantities allow. The cost is $10 per person.
Annual NTCC College Night set for November 28
The Annual College Night, sponsored by Northeast Texas Community College, is†set for Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Student Union Building (SUB) at NTCC.
Colleges and universities will have representatives on hand from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. to provide admissions and financial aid information to high school†students and their parents. All students from ninth to twelfth grade and NTCC students are invited to attend.
In addition having the chance to speak with NTCC advisors, students can meet recruiters from many major universities.

Mike Craig Ford donates truck to NTCC Shelby Automotive Program
Mike Craig Ford in Gilmer recently donated the 2012 Ford F-250 4x4 pictured above to the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department at Northeast Texas Community College. This is the second truck that the dealership has donated to the program.
Northeast Police Academy to hold day, evening programs

The Northeast Police Academy at Northeast Texas Community College will offer both day and evening academy options beginning in early 2013. Both programs will be held in the state-of-the-art criminal justice facility on the main NTCC campus.
The 17-week daytime fast-track academy will begin on January 14. Courses meet from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
