Rhylie Anderson presents at Western Historical Association

Rhylie Anderson participated in the 58th Annual Western Historical Association held at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio, October 17-20. The conference theme was “Re-Imaging Race and Ethnicity in the West.”

While there, Rhylie presented a poster on her work on African-American leaders in Texas after the Civil War. Her work appeared alongside that of scholars from colleges such as Stanford University and Montana State University.

Men's soccer to play first national tourney game Tuesday

The NTCC Eagles men's soccer team is headed to Daytona, Florida to play in the NJCAA National Tournament. The seeding for the tournament was released Wednesday with the Eagles seeded #8 in the tournament. The Eagles will be in Pool A along with #1 seed Pima and #12 seed Muskegon College. First game for the Eagles will be Tuesday November 13that 9:30 AM against Muskegon College.

Men's soccer headed to NJCAA National Tournament

This past Friday the men’s team traveled to take on LSUE in the South District Final game. The Eagles were able to come out with the 3-1 win and punch their ticket to the NJCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT!! This is the first time since 2014 that the men’s soccer team has made it to Nationals. The team will be traveling to Daytona, Florida to participate in the 2018 NJCAA Division 1 Soccer National Tournament taking place November 12th-17th. Thank you to everyone for the continued support of the team on and off the field.

NTCC Art Department hosts annual quilting exhibit

Quilts created by local quilters will hang in the Whatley Center foyer in what is now an annual tradition for the Northeast Texas Community College art department.  For the third consecutive year, quilters bring their treasured art to share with the community. The exhibit runs from Wednesday, Nov. 7 through Monday, Nov. 26. A reception is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center foyer, and refreshments will be served.
