National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)
NTCC's funeral service programs are designed with the nontraditional student in mind. Most courses are conducted in an online environment and offer regular and substantial interactions between students and faculty.
NTCC is a member of the NC-SARA. SARA is an agreement "among member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance-education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state" (NC-SARA).

Northeast Texas Community College’s Funeral Service Education program offers courses, an associate degree, and certificate program that may lead to professional licensure and/or certification. Successful completion of the programs listed may potentially lead to professional licensure, registration, or certification. Licensure, registration, or certification may be global, national, or state-specific. The following programs meet requirements for the State of Texas. Requirements for other states may vary. If you currently live in a state other than Texas or intend to move to a state other than Texas and use the education completed at NTCC’s Funeral Service program to sit for such an exam, be aware that there may be additional requirements.
