EMT-Basic
The EMT Basic is the entry level for EMS and provides fundamental care for patients.
1 semester (6 academic credit hours)
Offered in the Fall and Spring. Scheduled in the daytime and evening. Courses generally meet twice a week for 4 hours a session. Comprehensive exam, skills testing, scenario evaluation, and clinical orientation as well as the classroom sessions, clinical rotations are required in all EMT programs.
A daytime summer class is offered June - August
