What Does NTCC Cosmetology offer?
 

Cosmetology Operator (9-Month Certificate)

NTCC Cosmetology offers a 9 month certificate program (link to full cert information), designed to train students in hair coloring, cutting, styling, texturing, manicuring and pedicuring, skin care, facial services, and makeup, and more. The program is approved and monitored by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, and meets all required criteria to offer operator and operator instructor training for students. The cosmetology program has been approved for credit hours, and this is a hybrid course. Students will attend face to face classes as well as participate in online training through Blackboard.

Cosmetology Instructor Training Certificate

This is an additional certification offered for students who are already licensed cosmetologists who wish to be certified to teach cosmetology. The number of hours required to complete this certificate ranges from 500 to 750 hours depending on the student’s level of professional experience.

Cosmetology Instructor Program

 

Cosmetology Operator (2-Year Associate of Applied Science)

This program is designed for cosmetology students who are interested in continuing their education by taking additional credits to fulfill an associate degree. In addition to the cosmetology operator certificate requirements, these students will also take an additional 15 hours of core curriculum classes.
