Introduction to the level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Includes all the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an EMS public or private service fire department or other specialized service areas. Introduces and develops foundational skills in applying essential and emerging business productivity information technology tools. The focus of this course is on business productivity software applications including word processing spreadsheets databases presentation graphics data analytics and business-oriented utilization of the internet.

This course is a study and practical application of medical vocabulary system. Includes structure recognition analysis definition spelling pronunciation and combination of medical terms form prefixes suffixes roots and combining forms. (Fall Spring Summer)

This course teaches the basics of muscular conditioning with the use of specially designed weight machines. Students will be assessed as to current condition and an individualized program will be developed to meet the desires and needs of each one.

This is a first course in statistics with topics that span collection analysis presentation and interpretation of data and probability. Analysis includes descriptive statistics correlation and regression confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. (Fall Spring Summer)
