At Communities In Schools, we work directly inside K-12 schools full-time to build relationships with students.
Our Staff are in the schools during the school day. They see what’s going on in students’ lives and create trusting relationships that students can count on.
Our school-based staff work with teachers and school staff to identify and address challenges students face in school or at home-from immediate needs, like food and clothing, to more complex needs like mentoring, college/career support, and social-emotional support.
We coordinate with the community-businesses, health care providers, and nonprofits-to bring outside resources inside schools and do whatever it takes to help students succeed.
Our staff seek out partnerships and resources that already exist in communities and put them to work to help students thrive inside and outside the classroom.
