Message from the Chief

NTCC Police Chief - Russ Radke

In 2023 the Board of Directors for NTCC began considering the possibility of creating a police department for the college community. Their decision was in part based on tragic current events occurring at campus communities across our nation. The Board, always looking to embrace best practices, directed the college cabinet to formally look into the feasibility of a police department. In 2024 the Board made the decision to create a campus police department.

On May 15th, I was hired to begin the authorization process through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, the state regulatory agency that oversees all Texas law enforcement. On August 8th, 2024 NTCC filed their completed application and on September 9th, 2024 the Commission authorized the creation of the NTCC Police Department. On September 12th, I was officially sworn in as the first chief of police.

As your chief, I am honored to have the privilege of serving our campus community and on behalf of the Northeast Texas Community College Police Department, I want to welcome you to our website and thank you for taking the time to learn about our organization.

Members of the NTCC PD will be dedicated to building strong public relations and create public confidence as we work in partnership with our students, faculty, and surrounding community. At NTCC we believe that every person we encounter deserves fairness, respect and to be dealt with in a professional manner. As your Chief of police, that is my expectation. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
