Work4College application open for summer 2025

The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend NTCC without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at www.Work4College.com. The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025. 

In the Work4College Program, students may work in a variety of roles, including:
• Assisting on the college farm Painting classrooms and dorm rooms

Foundation receives $2,000 for Minadeo Nursing Scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $2,000 from Dr. Michael Minadeo. The funds will be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing their degree in nursing at NTCC. The endowed Minadeo Nursing Scholarship has helped support nursing students for many years and will continue to do so into the future. Dual Credit Spotlight: Amir Sultan receives prestigious Quest Bridge Scholarship to Ivy League school

Amir Sultan, an NTCC Dual Credit student from Ore City High School, was recently named a recipient of the prestigious Quest Bridge Scholarship. According to his Ore City Dual Credit Liaison, Amanda Ainsworth, the scholarship will allow Sultan to attend University of Pennsylvania (or UPenn - an Ivy League university) at no cost to him. The scholarship even covers his travel expenses!

NTCC celebrates December 2024 graduates

Northeast Texas Community College celebrated its December 2024 commencement on Friday, Dec. 13th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A total of 116 students graduated with 81 associate degrees and 82 certificates of competency awarded. 

Carla Sotelo gave the student welcome in both English and Spanish. Liliana Torreblanca (pictured below), who graduated from the Agriculture program, delivered the student response. Chuck Johns, Russell East, Sondra Fowler and Kerry Wootten were in attendance representing the NTCC Board of Trustees

Anonymous donor gives $10,000 to Work4College Program

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received $10,000 from an anonymous donor. The gift will be used to support the continued expansion of the Work4College Program into the Fall and Spring semesters.
