Medical Assisting and Coding programs host information session

The Northeast Texas Community College Medical Assistant and Medical Coding programs will host an informational session†Tuesday,†May 5. Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend. The session will be from 6-7 p.m. in room 245 of the University Health Science Building on the main NTCC campus. For more information, call Julie Smith at 903-434-8124.

Eagles softball splits with PJC

The Northeast Texas Community College Lady Eagles softball team split their weekend series against Paris, bringing them to 19-27 overall with two games left in their regular season.


On Friday the Lady Eagles beat Paris 7-0 in seven innings after a four-run explosion in the seventh.†The Lady Eagles scored in the seventh on a fielder's choice, a walk by Taite McBee, a sacrifice fly by Madison Selman, and an RBI single by Taylor Van Kirk.

Eagles baseball sweeps BPCC

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles (NTCC) baseball team volleyed the lead nine times on Wednesday before coming out on top for a 6-5 win over Bossier parish Community College (BPCC) at Eagle Field.


The Eagles finally managed to grab the lead after a strong tenth inning. The Eagles went up for good on an RBI single by Connor Hall, plating Casey Dickerman.

Brummell receives NTCC Woodmen of the World scholarship

Mark Brummell (center), Pittsburg High School Senior, Class of 2015, was recently awarded the Woodmen of the World Scholarship for a Camp County high school graduate. The $3,000 scholarship is to be applied toward tuition, fees and books at Northeast Texas Community College.
