About Us:
Titus County Cares provides homeless prevention services, which may include shelter or emergency assistance to cover back rent. Basic needs such as food and clothing are provided by Good Samaritan, and Christmas assistance is provided by Empty Stocking. To qualify for financial assistance, Titus families must have some form of income coming in the door, as well as participate in self-sufficiency and be on the road to stability. The services are aimed at alleviating poverty, particularly among future generations of children. Any sort of assistance will be subject to a rigorous application process that includes confirmation of income, residency, and other factors. The assistance will be given as a hand up rather than a handout, thus recipients will be required to attend employment training and such courses. In Titus County, families with children, the disabled, and senior residents are also given precedence.
TCC Pantry Hours: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9am-3pm, Tuesday 5-7pm
