The Continuing Education and Corporate Training department at Northeast Texas Community College has launched a new Conversational Spanish series, which began on Monday, August 26th with Beginner. The course, instructed by Iris Olbert, is designed to help community members enhance their Spanish-speaking skills in a practical, engaging way. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from August 26th through September 18th at the local Super Bueno grocery store, providing a convenient and familiar location for participants.
Jimmy Smith, Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with Super Bueno. "Partnering with Super Bueno allows us to bring learning opportunities directly into the heart of our community," said Smith. "By offering a Conversational Spanish class, we're not only helping individuals gain valuable language skills but also fostering greater understanding and connection among our diverse population. It's essential that we equip our community members with the tools to communicate effectively with their neighbors."
The Intermediate sessions will be held September 23rd through October 16th and the Advanced sessions will be October 21st through November 11th.
