The Northeast Texas Community College Vet Assistant program recently celebrated its first graduating class on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. Fifteen new students recently graduated from the program. Becoming a veterinary assistant is no small feat. It requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, emotional resilience, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. These graduates have navigated rigorous coursework, hands-on training, and real-world experiences, emerging as skilled professionals ready to make a difference in the veterinary community. Jimmy Smith, Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, states, “Our Veterinary Assistant graduates are entering a growing job market with the skills and knowledge needed to excel. The demand for qualified veterinary professionals continues to rise, and these students are well-prepared to step into their careers and make an immediate impact.”
The Northeast Texas Community College Vet Assistant program will continue to equip its students with the skills and guidance needed to be successful in the future of veterinary care.
