NTCC’s Agriculture Club and Program again proved last 10 September that it cannot only produce fresh foods in sustainable, scientific ways, but prepare them in the form of a delectable dinner. The NTCC honors program, in turn, enjoyed its sixteenth fall-semester get-together in as many years, bringing forty parents and students to the Agriculture building for a sumptuous evening meal. The students of the Agriculture Club under the direction of Rene McCracken provided excellent Hawaiian haystacks with delicious vegetable and pineapple sides, along with Hawaiian Leis and a data-projector-driven simulacrum of the Hawaiian coast on the western wall. Christine Yox provided the entire group with hand-decorated cupcakes, some of which were modeled after Hawaiian Ilima flowers.
The annual dinner has been beholden to patrons of Honors Northeast, particularly Drs. Jim and Paula Archer who not only initiated the roundups back in the fall of 2007, but have continued to provide the program with the wherewithal to host social events such as this.
