NTCC Agriculture to offer Annie's Project courses

Getting a grip on today?s agriculture technology and becoming an effective farm business partner is†the focus of Annie?s Project. Northeast Texas Community College Agriculture is joining this exciting initiative with a series of courses beginning in January. †Annie?s Project is based on the experiences of a farm wife who spent her†lifetime learning how to be an involved business partner with her farm husband. Together they did†great things, but it wasn?t easy. Annie?s project takes life experiences and share?s it with†farm women†living and working in a complex dynamic, evolving†business environment.


This is Annie?s project ? to take her life?s experiences and†share it with farm women living and working in a complex,†dynamic, evolving business environment.†Annie?s project is designed to empower†farm women†to†manage information systems used in critical decision†making processes and to build local networks throughout†the state. The target audience is farmwomen with a†passion for business and involvement.


Farm women will receive training for managing†information in the areas of: Financial Records, Production Records, Marketing Plans and†Risk Management, Legal/Regulation Records and Documentation, Human Resources†and Time Management.†This women?s empowerment program will be offered in six sessions beginning on Monday, January†5, 2014 and continuing each Monday through February 9, 2014. Cost of the workshop series is $45†per person and class size is limited.†

The workshop series kick-off is†scheduled for Monday, January 5, 2014 at the Whately Agriculture Complex located at 2886 FM†1735, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455 at 6 pm. As the class is limited in size, RSVP is a must with the first 10†participants registered on first come first serve basis.
