MLT Program accepting applications

Do you like science, enjoy working independently and want to help people? If so, the NTCC Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program might be a good fit for you.  

Medical laboratory technicians (MLT) are vital healthcare detectives who perform a wide variety of tests to analyze blood and other body fluids, providing information to physicians that assists in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2023-2024 academic year – but hurry, they are due June 15th!

Tickets available for Shelby Centennial Reception

Northeast Texas Community College, in cooperation with the Texas Hot Link Festival, will host an exclusive Shelby Centennial Reception on Saturday, April 29th from 6-8 p.m. at the NTCC Culinary Arts School in downtown Pittsburg. Proceeds from the event will benefit student scholarships. 
Only 100 tickets will be sold and are available at at $50 each.

EMS program conducts live trauma scenarios

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program at NTCC went the extra mile for hands-on training this week as they conducted a full-scale trauma scenario on campus.

EMS Program instructors Gary Short and Russell VanBibber hosted Titus Regional Medical Center EMS for a 16-hour continuing education course, International Trauma Life Support (ITLS). TRMC Deputy Chief Paramedic Wade Cannon and Rhanda Warren RN conducted the lecture portion on day one.

Congressman Moran visits NTCC

Northeast Texas Community College was pleased to welcome Congressman Nathaniel Moran for a visit on Wednesday, April 12th. He is pictured with Dr. Ron Clinton (left), NTCC President, and students Skylar Fondren, Monserrat Rivero Sanchez, Paisley McGee and Kent Sheldon. Moran, who represents the 1st District of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, had not visited NTCC before and wanted the opportunity to meet with students and leadership to discuss a variety of issues impacting the region and higher education.

Shelby Program to host car show at Hot Link Festival

The Northeast Texas Community College Carroll Shelby Automotive Program will host a Shelby Centennial Car Show as part of the festivities of the Texas Hot Link Festival in Pittsburg on Saturday, April 29th. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Ministry Center at 209 Mt. Pleasant Street in Pittsburg. Admission is free to the public.
