NTCC plans sixth annual McGraw-Hill Poster Contest
The sixth annual Northeast Texas Community College McGraw-Hill poster contest will be held on†Friday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The contest is open to all NTCC and area high school students.†
Those who wish to enter should submit a 75+ word abstract to Dr. Andrew Yox, NTCC Honors Director, by April 24.

NTCC Enactus team gives back to community
The Northeast Texas Community College Enactus team (formerly SIFE or Students in Free Enterprise) has been selected to participate in the Lowe?s Community Improvement Project Partnership.
LRC sponsors Edible Book Contest
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Northeast Texas Community College hosted the first annual Edible Book Contest Monday, April 1. There were a total of 16 entries in the contest, which challenged participants to depict a favorite book through edible art.†
CAPPED event brings high school seniors to NTCC
Communities In Schools (CIS) brought about 240 high school students to the Northeast Texas Community College campus on March 21†for CAPPED (Certificate and Professional Programs Exploration Day).†
CAPPED @ NTCC †is a program designed to bring high school students to NTCC to learn about programs available to expedite their entry into professional careers in the workplace.† It also allows NTCC faculty to showcase their programs.

Phi Theta Kappa presents report at March board meeting
Dr. Melissa Weinbrenner, advisor for the Northeast Texas Community College chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, presented a report to the NTCC board of trustees Tuesday night. She shared that NTCC's Alpha Mu Chi Chapter recently won 19 awards at the 2013 Texas Regional Convention in Dallas in addition being elected District III Vice President. New Texas A&M-Texarkana president visits NTCC
Recently, Texas A&M University-Texarkana?s new university President, Dr. Emily Cutrer met with Dr. Brad Johnson, Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) President at the NTCC campus in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Cutrer along with key A&M-Texarkana administrators: Dr. Rosanne Stripling-Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Glenda Ballard-Dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts, Dr. Larry Davis-Dean of the College of Business, and Dr.
NTCC closed March 11-15 for spring break
Northeast Texas Community College will be closed from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15 for spring break. The campus will resume regular hours on Monday, March 18. In case of an emergency on campus during this time, please call security at 903-563-1417.
