Fred Markham, Executive Director of the Texas Pioneer Foundation, recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with $60,000 to support the NTCC Work Scholarship Program. The gift came in two separate checks, one for $50,000 to be used as a matching gift for scholarships, and the other for $10,000 to be used as program support. Markham (left) is pictured with Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement. This summer marked the fifth year of the program, which allowed 63 students to work on campus to earn their education. The program is funded exclusively from private donations and grants.
