The men's soccer team took on #10 Western Texas after having to cancel the game on Saturday against Hill College due to the rain. Due to the field conditions the game started off slow for both teams. In the 27thminute Mandel Steward (assist by Ronaldo Brown) was able to break the tie in the game and give the Eagles the early lead. First half ended with the Eagles having the 1-0 lead. The Eagles were able to continue with the momentum in the second half coming out strong. In the 54thminute Felipe Goyenola found the back of the net with the assist coming from Amadou Gadio. Just 15 minutes later in the 69thminute Duhaney Williams drew a PK, he took the PK and capitalized, sealing the game for the Eagles giving them the 3-0 victory.
The men's next two games will be on the road as they travel to take on #11 Laredo Community College on Friday and Coastal Bend College on Saturday.
