Since 2008, the honors program of NTCC has published a biannual newsletter. The recently released 2022 February edition can be accessed at this link on the Honors website. One can also write Honors Director, Dr. Andrew P. Yox, for a real copy at ayox@ntcc.edu.
Alacrity has evolved over the years, though the publication has remained focused on student success, and the benefactors who have facilitated this success. The current issue contains a summary of attainments gained by the program’s twenty scholars last fall, including the record number who presented scholarly work at the National Collegiate Honors Council in October, the local, state and national awards they won, and their work on the Carroll Shelby film that will premiere 25 March at 7PM at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at NTCC. The newsletter also has an honors alumni feature, and in this issue there are updates for former NTCC Scholars, Mercedes Collins, Ann Goodson, Daniel Landaverde, Emmalea Shaw, Jessica Velazquez, and Dr. Alexander Villalobos.
