Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta are excited to announce "Folk-Tober" - a special series with guest speakers and stories of events related to local folklore. In keeping with PTK's annual theme of "Folklore, Fairytales, and Fables," these events will explore some stories unique to this region of Northeast Texas.
Events will be held as follows:
- Choctaw Tribal Storytellers and Dancers: Monday, Oct. 7th at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center Foyer
- M.J. Hayes, Author/Story Teller: Monday, Oct. 14th at 12:30 p.m. in Humanities 101
- Bigfoot Booth (Club Fair): Monday, Oct. 21st a (PTK members are attending a Bigfoot conference on October 19th in Jefferson)
- Ezekiel Airship and other Stories from the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum in Pittsburg (Featuring Linda Alford and Chuck Johns): Monday, Oct. 28th, 12:30 p.m. in Humanities 101
Pizza and water will be served. These events are all free and open to everyone who would like to attend.
