Northeast Texas Community College and the City of Pittsburg are pleased to announce that they will host a 2024 Carroll Shelby Celebration as part of the Texas Hot Link Festival in Pittsburg on Saturday, April 27th.
The day will begin with a car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pittsburg First United Methodist Church fellowship center at 209 Mt. Pleasant Street. Inside the center, there will be Shelby souvenirs for sale and visitors can view a Shelby documentary and film created by the NTCC Honors Program. The day will also include a CASI Chili Cook off and The Last Shelby will be displayed in the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum.
A special three-course dinner event will be held at the NTCC Culinary Arts School downtown. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6. The meal will be prepared by and served by NTCC Culinary Arts students. Special guest Jim Marietta will speak and share his memories of Carroll. There will also be a live auction featuring Shelby memorabilia.
