The NTCC Ag Club has certainly had a busy start to April and they are planning to finish the month just as active!
The Annual Hot Link Festival in downtown Pittsburg will again feature NTCC “center stage” at the Pilgrim’s Farmers Market. Pilgrim’s sponsors the booth spaces, and hands out swag bags during the event. Ag Club members and McCracken will partner with Efurds Market to sell farm fresh produce and plants during the festival on Saturday, April 27th. Picture is from Hot Link Festival 2023. Come join us and bring your grocery list for some great produce and plants!
"I am really excited this year to also introduce our new micro credential Plant Production Management at this time," said director Rene’ Mccracken. New courses: Greenhouse Management, Garden Center Management and Horticulture Equipment Management will be offered beginning fall 2024 and in one semester could provide our students with the experience to gain employment for companies growing, selling and maintaining plants in east Texas. These are credit courses and will also fit or be stacked in our current Regenerative Agriculture degree options (previously named sustainable agriculture).
