The current issue provides a summary of student success stories in honors last fall: NTCC’s four presenters who made the National Collegiate Honors Council, Neida Perez’s election to the top student post of the Great Plains Honors Council, Michelle Calderon’s exclusive Dr. Mary Hood Award, and several scholarship winners. The newsletter also contains tributes to recent honors donors, which have enabled a special culture of research, as well as “rocketship pedagogy.” There is also a section on NTCC’s Caldwell-Award winning film project, the outcome of the Northeast Texas Poetry Contest, and a section on “alacritous alumni,” an update on six former members of Honors Northeast.
